» What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey?

Most of the information was stuff that I use, but I had fun creating the image post and I really enjoy tags. Sometimes tags can get to be too much but in LibraryThing it's fun.


» How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals?

I 've been looking into Mango but I never quite start the course, and I'm a bit more motivated now to learn another language.

» Were there any take-aways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?

I like blogging and adding pictures to my site. Although that wasn't exactly a surprise that I like pictures but I enjoyed adding them.


» What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept?

If the program was revised to use more tools like the award winning tools list. That website had so much information that can be helpful. I know it was difficult for me to finish because I only work once a week, so it was harder to navigate the websites because of time restriction. Perhaps incorporate pictures to show step by step process for some of the harder posts.




» If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you again chose to participate?

I would because it different from what we do everyday. It was kind of fun having some time to explore, and the incentive really helped a lot, we're all human :)

#22 Live-brary

I like books on CD, I drive about an hour a day and am able to listen to books in the car. Live-brary is good becuase I can listen to a book without being in the car.

I usually judge a book by it's cover so I searched through Live-brary and finally found a book that I might want to read.

#21 Podcasts

I usually use Itunes for podcasts. I like it because it's Mac and it's very easy to use. I like that I can sort through subjects such as news- or even subscribe to my favorite shows to know the latest.

I don't like bloglines, I find the site very unappealing. I did indeed add 2 items to my list but the organization of the whole site makes me uninterested. itunes is so mnuch better for any podcast, and there are plenty of free podcasts.

I like the Economist, and the Breaking bad edition.

#20 YouTube

I picked this because I sang it in chorus during my Kindergarden graduation, and everyone has to admit it's a pretty great song- O yea, and she has a sparkly dress on!


I like Youtube but it's hard sometimes to sort through videos when you want something very specific like an offical video instead of a home video. Also sometimes you find something your all excited and......you can't watch it for some reason or another.

#19 MANGO

I like the site for Mango.

I like this tool because, I've always had an interest in language. Language is a very important part of culture and education.

I've always wanted to learn a solid third language. In school i took Italian and I know that if i traveled to Italy I would do just find, but I would not say that I'm fluent. I also studied ASL for 2 short semesters In college.
I like the Mango tool because it's not the same boring vocabulary site. It's not like an actual college course, you can take your time (it's free through the library)learning at your own pace.
I will be signing up for a course very soon.

# 18 Google Docs

I like google so much that I'm thinking about naming my first born, google.


ok no, not really but I would love to work there...

I like using GoodleDocs because it's an easy way to share documents with friends and co-workers. I use this when I write papers and have someone update or fix grammatical errors.

This could be very useful for the newsletter. Staff with access to the Newsletter can read and edit grammar all from different locations in the library.

Although I'm not a fan of PB, I like wiki. This tool could be useful within the library staff- like for important announcements, but would be best used for sharing ideas.
